Experience kayaking, mountain hiking, dog sledding and the midnight sun along the beautiful arctic nature you find at 78 degrees north! We are staying at one of the most northern settlements in the world, Longyearbyen on Svalbard. During our stay, we will see old mining stations, visit the northernmost church and the museum which give us the history of Svalbard. We will also experience the nightlife in Longyearbyen. And if we are lucky, maybe we will catch a glimpse of a polar bear? Trainees from earlier years have often mentioned Arctic Week as the highlight from their stay in Norway. This is definitely an opportunity you shouldn’t miss!
Program:
Arrival: You have to be at Tromsø (TOS) airport on July 20, no later than 11:20. The plane to Longyearbyen, Svalbard will departure 12:20. If you don’t find any suitable time for the flight, please contact us, and we will help you!
Departure: We land at Tromsø (TOS) airport 16.20, July 24, so feel free to spend some time in Tromsø on this day.

If you are missing things from the list above, don’t panic! Contact your local IAESTE committee, or us directly, and we will help you out.
The participant fee is NOK 1900,- . You can pay in cash on arrival, put we prefer if you pay to an IAESTE bank account in advance. Payment information will be sent by e-mail after registration. The fee covers airplane ticket from Tromsø to Longyearbyen, round trip,(1500 NOK for the ticket), accommodation and food during your stay and activities during the trip.
Remember that registrations counts as binding. The maximum amount of participants is limited to 12 people. Important: As there are a limited number of places available, wait until you receive a confirmation from IAESTE before booking your flight ticket to Tromsø.
