Every year, about 100 IAESTE trainees work in Norway. Most of them work during the summer months June until September, and in the cities Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger and Tromsø. Are you going to Norway as an  IAESTE trainee in 2010? You can get in contact with other trainees in Norway on our national and local mailing lists. You local Reception Officer should add you as soon as contact is made, if not send him/her a mail.

High quality traineeships

Most of the Norwegian companies which offers traineeships take these traineeships seriously; they expect good candidates and that you do your best. The quality of the traineeships are generally very good and the trainees who work in Norway are quite satisfied with their traineeships.

Experience the fjords, the mountains and the midnight sun

Our summer programme includes several activities. We try to keep the activities as low-cost as possible and the main goal is to gather the trainees and offer them to experience Norway along with us. In 2010 the biggest summer event is Mountain Weekend, other national events are the city weekends and the Arctic Week.

Work permit

To work in Norway you need to have a permit, this can be referenced to as both a work permit and a residence permit. The application can be filed at the nearest Norwegian embassy or consulate. It is very important that you apply as soon as you get your acceptance papers from Norway. Without this permission you will not be allowed to work.
