We expect that you within a week after your acceptance have read the information on these pages, and made note of the contact list available. It is also extremely important that you follow the instructions written here. Do not under any circumstances deviate from the instructions without contacting us about it.
IAESTE Norway has several students that will help and assist you before, under and after your stay. These are called Reception Officers (abbr. RO). Our ROs has all the answers to what you need to know, and if they don't they will contact the person with that information to help you. Don't hesitate to contact your RO for help. You can find the the RO for your city here.
Work Permit
To work in Norway you need to have a permit, this can be referenced to as both a work permit, and a residence permit. The application can be filed at the nearest Norwegian embassy or consulate. It is very important that you apply as soon as you get your acceptance papers form Norway. Without this permission you will not be allowed to work. The application procedures takes up to 15 weeks.
EU/EEA nationals can, as a general rule, work in Norway without such a permit. If the answer to both the questions underneath is no, then you don't need to apply for a work permit. If either one is yes then apply for a work permit today.
